Four things school doesn't answer.
A Sprout Night does.
Get to know what the job really entails and the topics that are not talked about enough!
"I don't know what jobs my major actually leads to."
AT THE NIGHT
Someone walks you through a real project from their field, start to finish. You see what the work is before you spend four years chasing it.
"I have no idea if my resume is any good."
Bring it. Resume and portfolio reviews from people who do the hiring, so you know what to cut and what is holding you back.
AT THE NIGHT
"I don't know a single person who works in the field."
You do after. Speakers come to talk, not to present, and you leave with a name and a way to follow up.
AT THE NIGHT
"I get turned down by the program every year."
Ask what actually got them in. Hours, experience, who they talked to. Straight answers about what makes an application strong here.

WHY WE EXIST
Growing small businesses one seed at a time.
Seedspace SC helps small businesses get into downtown storefronts and build the staying power to keep them.
Spartanburg is putting $1.7 billion into downtown, and it is going to be a place people want to be. The small shops already on the block should get to grow right along with it.
It started with a downtown owner named Cynthia, and the belief that a business that is working should get to stay. So we start by filling their rooms. Sprout Nights brings students downtown for a speaker, into a shop that is already here, on an evening that would otherwise be slow. Students get the answers. The shop gets the room full.

WHO'S BEHIND THIS
THE FOUNDER
Seedspace SC runs on a single belief that
when downtown grows, the small shops that give it character
should grow with it. Sprout Nights is the first phase because
it's the fastest way to help fill a storefront with people, while
serving as way to help students gain work-force advantages.
